Fairfax (pop.645) is located on Hwy 59 in the southeastern quadrant of Atchison County.  Fairfax is home to the county's major health facility, Community Hospital - Fairfax, which moved to its new location September 2010.  Charming and friendly, Fairfax has a wonderful city park in the center of town where the Fairfax Fair takes place each year.
