ACDC
ACDC was organized in the 1970s to attract business into the county. In 1995, ACDC decided that economic development in the county would best be served by a full-time employee and office. The dedicated citizens of the ACDC Board of Directors worked diligently to pass a 1/4 cent sales tax for an economic development office. Today, ACDC is celebrating 10 years in economic development.

Eileen Irvine, Director
Eileen Irvine began working for ACDC in 2002. Her responsibilities include special projects and programs. Currently, she works with Atchison County's Tax Increment Financing Programs as well as the Strategic Planning Committees. She also manages ACDC's financials, membership program and golf tournament. Eileen was also Atchison County's nominee to Leadership Northwest 2005.
Eileen and her husband Steve, a lifelong resident of Atchison County, reside in Tarkio. Steve and Eileen have a diversified farming operation in the Tarkio area.
