Tarkio EAA Fly-In 2007Nearly 2800 people crowded the fields of the Tarkio Municipal Airport on July 14, 2007, for Atchison County's premier event, The Tarkio Fly-In. Organized by the local EAA Chapter, the Wingnuts, and aided by Tarkio's own Congressman Sam Graves, the fly-in boasted fly-overs from B-2s and A-10s from Whiteman Airforce Base, a Chinook Helicopter from the Kansas National Guard and F-15s out of St. Louis.  
Para-troopers brought the United States Flag and the Missouri Flag as the National Anthem was played. The field was covered of planes from pilots all over the Midwest.
